John D. Wright
President; CEO; Director

Mr. Wright has been President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of the Company since March 2000. Previously, Mr. Wright was the General Manager of Alberta Energy's Ecuadorian operations from June to December 1999; President and Chief Executive Officer of Pacalta Resources from May 1996 to June 1999; Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Morgan Hydrocarbons from December 1993 to April 1996; and Vice President Production of Morgan from 1989 to 1993. Mr. Wright graduated from the University of Alberta in 1981 with a B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering.

Chris J. Bloomer
VP Heavy Oil

Mr. Bloomer has over 25 years experience in the energy industry spanning both the upstream and downstream sectors. He joined Petrobank in December 2002 and is the Vice President of Heavy Oil. Previously, he also held the position of CFO. His career began in 1978 at Shell Canada Limited where he moved with increasing responsibility from exploration to economics and finance, oil sands development, planning and marketing, culminating in his role as Director, Liquids Business Centre. From 1993 until 1995 Mr. Bloomer was Senior Vice President of Castle Energy Corporation (NASDAQ), and Chief Operating Officer of its Canadian interests and natural gas production and pipeline operations in Texas. From 1996 until 1998 he was a founder and President and Chief Operating Officer of Canadian TALON Resources, Ltd. (TSX), engaged in developing energy projects primarily in Latin America. Subsequently Mr. Bloomer was a Managing Director of Korn/Ferry International’s Calgary office from May 1998 until December 2002 focusing on the domestic and international energy industry. Mr. Bloomer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from the University of Toronto and is a member of the Association of Engineers Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (“APEGGA”).

Andrew D. Grasby
Corporate Secretary

In addition to having a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in accounting, a Bachelor of Laws degree and an MBA, Mr. Grasby is also a Chartered Financial Analyst. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of Alberta, the Law Society of England and Wales, the Calgary Society of Financial Analysts and the Association for Investment Management and Research. He also is a director and officer of several private and public corporations.

Richard Press
VP Land and Contracts

Mr. Press joined Petrobank in May 2003 as Senior Landman and was promoted to Land Manager in July 2004 and to Vice President Land and Contracts in January 2005. Mr. Press has 19 years industry experience in a variety of senior and management roles including Senior Landman with Chevron Canada Resources, Land Manager of Petromet Resources Limited, Senior Landman with Talisman Energy Inc. Mr. Press graduated in 1984 from the University of Calgary with a B. Sc. in Environmental Studies and in 1985 obtained a Petroleum and Mineral Resource Land Management diploma.

  Corey C. Ruttan
VP Finance & CFO

Mr. Ruttan is the Vice President of Finance and was also appointed CFO of the company in May 2007. He has held various positions with Petrobank since March 2000 including Director of Corporate Finance and Investor Relations, Director of Corporate Finance and Manager of Corporate Finance. Mr. Ruttan previously served as Vice President of Caribou Capital Corp. from June 1999 to March 2000; Manager Financial Reporting of Pacalta Resources Ltd. from May 1997 to June 1999; and articled with KPMG from September 1994 to May 1997. Mr. Ruttan obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Accounting from the University of Calgary in 1994 and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1997.

Doreen M. Scheidt
Corporate Controller

Ms. Scheidt has been the Corporate Controller of Petrobank since December 2001. Ms. Scheidt has 30 years of industry experience in a variety of management roles including financial accounting, operations accounting, Oil & Gas Receiverships, and Oil & Gas accounting systems implementation. Ms. Scheidt was an instructor for CAPPA (Canadian Association of Petroleum Production Accountants) from 1990-1994. Prior to joining Petrobank, Ms. Scheidt was the Manager, Operations accounting with Devon Canada from 1994-2001. Ms. Scheidt obtained her CMA designation in 1980.

R. Gregg Smith
VP Canada

Mr. Smith has been Vice President since March of 2003. Prior to Joining Petrobank, Mr. Smith worked for Esso Resources, Westcoast Petroleum, Numac Energy, HCO Petroleum, Pinnacle Resources, Newport Petroleum and most recently, Hunt Oil Company of Canada Inc., in various positions including senior geophysicist, Exploration Team Leader, and Exploration Manager. Mr. Smith graduated in 1983 from the University of British Columbia with an Honours B. Sc. in geophysics.
