The founder of Petrobank, Mr. Tocher has over fifty years of experience with major and independent oil and gas companies in Canada, the U.S., and internationally. Mr. Tocher has been Chairman of the Board since September 1993; Chief Executive Officer from September 1993 to March 2000; and Chairman of the Board of VX Technologies Inc., a private technology company, since March 1989.

Mr. Bloomer has over 25 years experience in the energy industry spanning both the upstream and downstream sectors. He joined Petrobank in December 2002 and is Vice President Heavy Oil Business and CFO. His career began in 1978 at Shell Canada Limited where he moved with increasing responsibility from exploration to economics and finance, oil sands development, planning and marketing, culminating in his role as Director, Liquids Business Centre. From 1993 until 1995 Mr. Bloomer was Senior Vice President of Castle Energy Corporation (NASDAQ), and Chief Operating Officer of its Canadian interests and natural gas production and pipeline operations in Texas. From 1996 until 1998 he was a founder and President and Chief Operating Officer of Canadian TALON Resources, Ltd. (TSX), engaged in developing energy projects primarily in Latin America. Subsequently Mr. Bloomer was a Managing Director of Korn/Ferry International’s Calgary office from May 1998 until December 2002 focusing on the domestic and international energy industry. Mr. Bloomer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from the University of Toronto and is a member of the Association of Engineers Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (“APEGGA”).

Mr Brown is an independent businessman since January, 2006; prior thereto, Senior Managing Director of Raymond James Ltd. from October, 2001 to December 2005; prior thereto, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Goepel Mcdermid Inc., a predecessor to Raymond James Ltd., from June, 1999 to October, 2001; prior thereto , Executive Vice President and Director of Mcdermid St Lawrence Ltd from May, 1995 to June, 1999; prior thereto, Executive Vice President of the Alberta Stock Exchange from August, 1986 to May, 1995. Mr Brown also serves on the boards of Bonavista Energy Trust, The Canadian Investor Protection Fund, Redsky Energy Ltd, and the TSX Group Inc.

Mr. Frank has been a Director of the Company since September 1993. Currently he is also an independent consultant, Director and founder of Loon Mountain Recreation Corp., and President of Recco Inc., an oil and gas development and real estate development company.

Mr. McKinnon has been a director since March 2000; Corporate Secretary from November 1997 February 2005; and Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer from November 1997 to March 2000. Mr. McKinnon has also held the position of Vice President Legal and General Counsel of Critical Mass Inc. since March 2000, and is a director of several private and public companies.

Mr. Oaks was one of the original founders of Petrobank and has been a Director of Petrobank since September 1993. He is currently President and founder of Oaks Resources Management Inc., which provides oil and gas property management and technical services for institutional and private oil and gas interest owners. Mr. Oaks received a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1958. Mr. Oaks has 48 years of oil and gas experience including various engineering roles at Phillips Petroleum Company working in Texas, Venezuela, Algeria, Libya and Colombia. In 1973, Mr. Oaks was a founder of Taiga Energy, Inc. which specialized in tight gas development, primarily in the Uintah and Piceance Basins of Colorado and Utah. In 1980, Mr. Oaks was a founder and President of Petrobank Operating Company, a gas producing and development company specializing in new technology development for gas production, which drilled and operated 200 gas wells with extensive lease holdings in Pennsylvania. Mr. Oaks is a registered Professional Engineer (Texas) and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and American Institute of Mining and Metallurgical Engineers.

Dr. Vredenburg is Professor of Strategic Management and Suncor Energy Chair in Competitive Strategy & Sustainable Development at the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business. In 1995 he co-founded Haskayne’s MSc in sustainable energy development for Latin America and the Caribbean in Quito, Ecuador with the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE). He teaches in MBA, MSc, PhD and executive programs and has published more than 30 articles on strategy in international management journals. He consults to industry and government and serves on not-for-profit boards. He was a professor at McGill University and a manager at American Express prior to joining Haskayne. He earned his PhD from the University of Western Ontario’s Ivey School of Business in 1986. He earned the Institute of Corporate Directors’ ICD.D designation, as a certified corporate director, in 2005.
